Although SFACS does receive funding from the State of Florida, it is not enough to accomplish our mission of bringing tuition-free, science-based, in-dividualized education and therapeutic services to students diagnosed with autism. We must also maintain our low student-to-teacher ratio and employ highly qualified staff. In addition, our budget increases yearly as we seek to expand our organization and offer additional services. For these reasons, SFACS maintains fundraising efforts throughout the year.
Our annual Gala is an important fundraising event for SFACS, and proceeds from the event provide general support for our educational programs. At each event we strive to honor an individual who has provided outstanding service and support to SFACS, as well as the autism community overall.
