ENROLLMENT

SFACS is a tuition-free, open enrollment, public charter school operating under the sponsorship of Miami-Dade County Public Schools.

Students currently enrolled in Kindergarten through 12th grade may apply at any time. Please note, It is not necessary to have the McKay Scholarship in order to attend our school. Application instructions are listed below.

Florida law requires charter schools to admit students via a random selection process or lottery when the number of applications exceeds capacity. Enrollment is open on a first come, first serve basis, until the number of applications exceeds the capacity of the program, class, grade level or building.

Contract capacity: 300 students

Current enrollment: 285 students

ELIGIBILITY:

Student must be diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Student must have a public school IEP reflecting eligibility for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) services and placement.

Student must be on a modified curriculum – we cannot enroll students who are on a general education curriculum

In addition, the student must fall within one or more of the following categories:

Student has behavioral difficulties
Student has communication deficit
Student requires training in self-care skills
